This course offers an introduction to general principles of design. It will focus on the consideration of aesthetics, manufacturability, assembly, and usability in engineering product design. Drawing skills and computer aided design will be introduced and used for design/redesign team projects throughout the semester. Engineering design specification, design evaluation and redesign of concept will also be discussed.
