This English workbook has been written fro the course 411321 Technical English for Engineering Students I at Khon Kaen University. The main objectives of this course are for the students to be able to read and take notes from their engineering textbooks, The course also includes oral practices. This workbook provides practices in some grammatical structures that are frequently found in engineering textbooks, together with reading exercises. Students are recommended to do all exercises in order to be able to master the target language items. For their oral discussion and presentation, students are required to do some research on their own and to prepare their presentation in groups of 4 to 6 students. Students ate also recommended to read the textbooks in their own field of study and apply the technique in locating the topic, main idea, or central thought of the content; in finding details, relating ideas; and in note taking. The more students practice, the more proficient they will be in the use of English language. This textbook also includes supplementary exercises at the end, which are given as examples for the mid term and the final examinations.
