                                          3. All participants need to actively participate. Your performances are evaluated and scored.

                                          4. Tutors are not allowed to give a lecture; they will help you by guiding and correcting the context of your discussion.

                                                        Cells and Molecular Biology Course (MD 567712)

                                                         1. In this discussion activity, students should read carefully and understand the assigned review paper “A Comprehensive Review of HER2 in Cancer Biology and Therapeutics, by Xiaoqing Cheng, Department of Oncology, School of Medicine, Washington University in Saint Louis Date: July 2025” before joining the class discussion.

                                                        2. You will be divided into subgroups (The members of each group will be announced). One of your group instructors will be the facilitator.

                                                        3. Work as a team within your group and participate effectively in a group discussion. Ensure that everyone in the group can speak out!

                                                        4. Discuss and retrieve key information following the suggested discussion points from the review article to reach a consensus opinion.

                                                        5. Can search for more information in textbooks or in scientific papers to gain insight into the discussion topic.

                                                        6. Demonstrate your understanding and giving your opinions as well as your ability to connect and apply the key information retrieved in the review article to the background knowledge gained in the classroom.

                                                        7. Critically evaluate the information and make a conclusion gained from the discussion topic.

                                                         Chronological group discussion:

                                                        •         You will have 2 hours to conduct your group discussion following the discussion points.

                                                        •         You can spend another 40 minutes at the end of the session for a brief writing task (you can read through the assigned paper while answering questions).

                                                        •         This writing assignment will permit the assessment of the understanding of each student.

                                                        The examination time is 30 minutes at the end of session.
