Course Description: The Research Methodology for Public Health course offers students an in-depth opportunity to apply and refine their knowledge in developing research methods. Students will engage in critical evaluation of quantitative research articles, conduct systematic literature reviews, identify gaps in existing knowledge, and formulate precise research questions and objectives. The course encompasses a comprehensive study of different research designs, sample size determination, the design of data collection instruments, ethical considerations in human research, abstract composition, statistical analysis planning, and the structured writing of research proposals.

Course Aims: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
>> Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and apply established principles for assessing the quality of research articles.
>> Identify gaps in the current body of knowledge and formulate research questions pertinent to their own studies.
>> Articulate the research methodology for their studies in a detailed and precise manner.
>> Draft a mock abstract and develop a coherent plan for statistical analysis.
>> Demonstrate proficiency in writing and developing their own research proposals.
