โดย YUKESH -

Some researchers view e-learning as the delivery of teaching materials via electronic media, such as Internet, Intranets, Extranets, satellite broadcast, audio/video tape, interactive TV, and CD-ROM (Engelbrecht, 2005).

Engelbrecht (2005) stated that e-learning as liberate teaching tools through electronic medias.

Although there is no consensus among e-learning researchers on its definition, e-learning generally is regarded as “the use of telecommunication technology to deliver information for education and training” (Sun et al., 2008) cited on Behram Beldagli, Tufan Adiguzel 2010.

Sun et al., (2008) “The use of telecommunication technology to deliver information for education and training.”

Other researchers view e-learning as a web-based learning which utilizes web-based communication, collaboration, knowledge transfer, and training to add values to the individuals and the organizations (Kelly & Bauer, 2004) cited in Byoung-Chan Lee, Jeong-Ok Yoon, In Lee, 2009, P. 2.

Kelly and Bauer (2004) defined e-learning as web-based learning utilizing web-based announcement, alliance, delivering knowledge to boost up individuals’ and the organizations’ value.

My own: E-learning is all sort of web-based communication using telecommunication technologies to distribute educational based information.

1.Derek Stockley (2003). The delivery of a learning, training or education program by electronic means. E-learning involves the use of a computer or electronic device (e.g. a mobile phone) in some way to provide training, educational or learning material.

Stockley (2003) stated that e learning uses a computer or electronic tools to practice or study for some purposes.

2.E-learning comprises all forms of electronically supported learning and teaching. The Information and communication systems, whether networked or not, serve as specific media to implement the learning process. Tavangarian D., Leypold M., Nölting K., Röser M.,(2004).

Tavangarian, Leypold, Nölting, and Röser(2004) defined that e-learning consists of sets of learning and teaching by using communicative information systems whether online or offline and particular computer media.

3.Allison Rossett (2001) defines e learning as: Web-based training (WBT), also known as e-learning and on-line learning, is training that resides on a server or host computer that is connected to the World Wide Web.

Rossett (2001) stated that e-learning is a web-based training consisting of a server computer connected to online network.

Own definition.

E learning is the way to access information by using electronic devices e.g., computers, whether networking or standing alone, for some purposes such as learning and training.

E-learning can be defined as instruction delivered via a computer that is intended to promote learning (Clark & Mayer, 2003).

E-learning is defined as the use of computers to support learning (Clark & Mayer, 2003 cited in Mayer, 2003).

Distance learning, sometimes called e-learning, is the process of delivering instruction using electronic communication, such as video, audio, computer, multimedia communications, or some combination of these.
By: Debra Torrence and Chip Donohue

Torrence and Donojue (2007) defined e-learning as the use of electronic communication in teaching process.

E-learning is commonly referred to the intentional use of networked information and communications technology in teaching and learning. A number of other terms are also used to describe this mode of teaching and learning. They include online learning, virtual learning, distributed learning, network and webbased learning. Fundamentally, they all refer to educational processes that utilize information and communications technology to mediate asynchronous as well as synchronous learning and teaching activities. On closer scrutiny, however, it will be clear that these labels refer to slightly different educational processes and as such they cannot be used synonymously with the term e-learning.
By: SOM NAIDU 2006

According to Naidu (2006), e-learning is the teaching and learning process that employs network information and electronic communication.

Own definition:
E-learning is the use of electronic information and communication to support teaching and learning.

Fry (2000) defined e-learning as “delivery of training and education via networked interactivity and a range of other knowledge collection and distribution technologies.”

- E-learning is the participation in practicing and education and other kinds of knowledge distribution through computer network and compilation technologies (Fry, 2000).

Bleimann (2004) stated that e-learning is a self-directed learning that is based on technology, especially web-based technology. He also stressed that e-learning is collaborative learning.

- Bleimann (2004) defined as e-learning as the acquisition of knowledge by self-access learning via technology, particularly web-based learning.

My own definition

E-learning is a form of communication and participation of education network used by individuals via technologies such as web-based learning, CD-ROM based learning, and so on.

1. E-Learning - is a broad set of applications and processes which include web-based learning, computer-based learning, virtual classrooms, and digital. Much of this is delivered via the Internet, intranets, audio- and videotape, satellite broadcast, interactive TV, and CD-ROM (Tinnabutr, 2008).

E-Learning can be defined as electronic information used via electronic communication.

2.“E-Learning is a catch-all term that covers a wide range of instructional material that can be delivered on a CD-ROM or DVD, over a local area network (LAN), or on the Internet. It includes Computer-Based Training (CBT), Web-Based Training (WBT), Electronic Performance Support Systems (EPSS), distance or online learning and online tutorials. The major advantage to students is its easy access. There are some typical elements and a standard approach to developing or authoring eLearning material” (Kurtus, 2004).

E-Learning can be defined as the use of instruction materials through local area network and internet.

3. “eLearning / E-Learning - learning that is accomplished over the Internet, a computer network, via CD-ROM, interactive TV, or satellite broadcast” (Karrer, 2007).

E-Learning is the use of electronic communication via internet in learning.

4. E-learning can be defined as the use of electronic information through electronic communication for learning.

E-learning includes all systems of electronically sustained learning and teaching . The Information and communication methods , both network and no-web, serve as special media to perform the learning process. The term will most probably be used to reference out-of-classroom and in-classroom educational experiences via technology, even as advances continue in devices and curriculum.

Tavangarian D., Leypold M., Nölting K., Röser M.,(2004). Is e-learning the Solution for Individual Learning? Journal of e-learning, 2004.

E-learning is importantly the computer and network-empowered convey of skills and knowledge. E-learning applications and methods include Web-based learning, computer-based learning, effective classroom chances and digital affiliation. Content is delivered via the Internet, intranet/extranet, audio or video tape, satellite TV, and CD-ROM. It can be self-paced or instructor-led and comprises media in the form of text, image, animation, streaming video and audio.

EC (2000). Communication from the Commission: E-Learning – Designing "Tejas at Niit" tomorrow’s education. Brussels: European Commission

E-learning is regularly set to distance learning and flexible learning, but can also be used in association with face-to-face teaching, in which case the term Blended learning is naturally used. E-Learning inventor Bernard Luskin argues that the "E" must be known to have broad meaning if e-Learning is to be capable. Luskin says that the "e" should be translated to mean exciting, energetic, enthusiastic, emotional, extended, excellent, and educational "electronic" that is a traditional national interpretation. This broader translation accords for 21st century applications and brings learning and media psychology equally.
