BS915213 Accounting Information System and Design course focuses on the use of information system in business process with an emphasis on data flow, risk assessment, and internal control. The learning activities and assessment items designed and developed for this course are intended to help students learn how to evaluate businesses’ accounting information system needs. This course also illustrates how to design a database that answers businesses’ needs. There is also an emphasis on how to implement the database. Students are made aware of the importance of information system control in accordance with COBIT framework.
